[j_excalibur]
[mood |blahblah]
[music |the white stripes by modus operandi]

cutting edges that
aren't even there, the blade
sliding near flesh.
ripping into the uneven potato, with out
words, or
tears,
or any regret.
chunks of
air tumbling into
incarnadine lips isn't
enough to get
by on.
redness hushes my
skin, shame pressed to my
chest like a heavy child.
i will tear this
uneven potato that refuses
to be cut properly, with out
another phone call that just whispers guilt,
with out worry,
and with out shards of my voice
impaling my tongue to my mouth.
i will work,
i can't keep wishing for
unobtainable peace.
